BBC Has Had A Second Life Island For Over A Year Now!

After reading this BBC news article recently, I found out that the BBC (British Broadcasting Company) owned an island in Second Life. Not only that, but they've had one for over a year! "Radio 1 has only rented its island for one year." The reason everyone is talking about it at the moment is because Radio 1 are hosting there first gig. Unfortunately, no TG resident will be able to go, but Blue Linden has given us virtual BBC Radios to listen with. (See picture above). The radios are mainly for show, as they don't actually play music, they have two buttons at the top, where you chose what format you want your web browser to stream Radio 1 (E.g Real Player).

"Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles has been recreated in Second Life". They have done quite a good job! Chris Moyles HAS to be the best Radio 1 DJ, although I only get to listen to his show up to the first news before I have to leave home! Still, they keep all shows on the site for, I think, a week.
"There maybe opportunities to have people like Justin Timberlake on spaces like this," OMG Justin?!!? Seriously, Radio 1, you can do better then that!
"One US Dollar is approximately equivalent to L$ 250" Not any more :/
The Radio 1 weekend in Second Life isn't over yet, so MG residents still have a chance of getting down there, so off you pop!

If Justin Timberlake ever gets on SL, I'll poke him until he runs off screaming :>
